Hand grenade discovered in wall of home under renovation

WHITE SETTLEMENT, Texas (WKRC) – A grenade was discovered in the wall of a home under renovation.

According to a statement issued by the White Settlement Police Department in Texas, authorities responded to a call at 4:02 p.m. on Sunday. Police said the home’s new owner discovered what appeared to be a military-style hand grenade in the wall of the home.

The Fort Worth Fire Department Arson and Bomb investigations team arrived on the scene, and it was determined that the grenade contained no explosive material.

The device was taken by the fire department, and neighbors were allowed back into the area.
