Planning ahead for 2023 and 2024? Here are the Corpus Christi ISD school calendars.
Corpus Christi ISD has released calendars for the next two school years.
Both calendars were built based on a survey shared with families and staff.
The 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 calendars, as well as this year’s calendar, can be found online at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BWgYGMZYWK8sx1uCEKjJIRch21JTdVTw/view.
For both calendars, the elementary school day runs from 7:50 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. The middle and high school schedule runs from 8:50 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. Both schedules account for 440 minutes each day.
2023-2024
For 2023-2024, the school year for students will start Aug. 9, 2023 which is a Wednesday. Teachers will return earlier for professional development and preparation work starting Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023.
Individual student free days throughout the year, during which staff will have professional development and work days, include Sept. 1, 2023, Oct. 6, 2023, Nov. 17, 2023, Jan. 8, 2024, Feb. 2, 2024 and March 8, 2024, all of which fall on either a Monday or Friday.

Labor Day on Sept. 4, 2023
Fall intercession from Oct. 9-12, 2023
Thanksgiving break from Nov. 20-24, 2023
Winter break from Dec. 22, 2023-Jan. 5, 2024
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Jan. 15, 2024
President’s Day on Feb. 19, 2024
Spring break from March 11-15, 2024
Good Friday on March 29, 2024 and the Monday after Easter on April 1, 2024
Memorial Day on May 27, 2024
The last day of school is set for Thursday, May 30, 2024. The calendar includes 83 instructional days in the first semester and 91 instructional days in the second semester.
2024-2025
Students will return Aug. 12, 2024, which is a Wednesday. Staff will return earlier for professional development and preparation work starting Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024.
Individual student free days throughout the year, during which staff will have professional development and work days, include Aug. 30, 2024, Oct. 11, 2024, Nov. 22, 2024, Jan. 6, 2025 and Feb. 14, 2024, all of which fall on either a Monday or Friday.
