Josephine Iannacci
WATERBURY – Josephine Iannacci, 93, of Waterbury, entered into the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family.
Josephine was born in Waterbury on Dec. 3, 1930, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Eleanor (Oriente) Iannacci. Having grown up in Waterbury, Josephine attended Waterbury public schools, and was a graduate of Wilby High School and then Post University.
For many years, Josephine worked for Scovill/Century Brass, and later Kennedy High School until her retirement. Josephine enjoyed traveling and get-togethers with her family and friends.
Josephine leaves behind to cherish her memory her brother, Anthony Iannacci of Waterbury, and his late wife Lucy Iannacci; her niece, Angela Varrone and her husband Daniel of Thomaston; and her nephew, Mark Iannacci of Waterbury.
She was predeceased by her nephew, Anthony Iannacci, and her niece, Julia Iannacci.
Josephine’s family would like to give a very special thank you from the bottom of their hearts to her caregiver, Rose, for all of the wonderful care and compassion she gave to Josephine, as well as the staff of Hartford HealthCare at Home.
A funeral service for Josephine will be on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, 11 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. A calling hour for Josephine will be Saturday morning from 10 to 11 a.m.
