Wadena Area Chamber of Commerce monthly retailers meeting from 7-7:45 a.m. at The Boondocks Cafe and Catering at 201 S. Jefferson St. is an informal gathering for Wadena area retailers to hear from the Chamber’s Executive Director Dana Cantleberry and to discuss issues affecting local retailers as well as upcoming events and shopping promotions. Clover Buddies will meet from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Wadena County Fairgrounds. Those in kindergarten through second grade are invited to learn about a specific project area, play a game, have a snack and get to know a little more about 4-H for free.
This month’s event will focus on sewing with the help of our screened adult volunteers, and participants will take home at least one completed item besides learning simple sewing procedures.

“Prince and Princess Party” for students in preschool through fourth grade will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Wadena-Deer Creek Elementary School gym at Colfax Avenue Southwest. Miss Wadena Madelyn Gallant and her royal court will be there.
Get dressed up and join others for arts and crafts, bingo, a candy bar walk, face and/or nail painting and storytime, and enjoy punch, cookies and more.
The cost is $6 per child. Proceeds will help support the Wadena-Deer Creek prom.
Florida strawberries of 8 pounds for $30 will be sold from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wadena Maslowski Wellness and Research Center at 17th Fifth St. SW.
“Pose + Pint” yoga will be at 10 a.m. at Drastic Measures Brewing at 101 Jefferson St. S. The cost is $18 per person and includes a one-hour class, one 10-ounce beer, coffee, tea, soda or non-alcoholic beverage. Participants should bring their own yoga mat.
Fire, police and first-responders appreciation banquet will start at 7 p.m. at New York Mills Hall with food provided and live music for a free-will offering during the five-hour fundraiser to purchase fire suppression tools for the New York Mills,, Perham and Wadena fire departments.
Play bingo from 1:15 p.m to 3 p.m. at the Wadena Senior Center at 220 Jefferson St. S. in downtown Wadena.

“The Miracle Worker” auditions for Madhatters Community Theatre’s production will be at 5 p.m. on Feb. 16 and 2 p.m. on Feb. 17 in Wadena City Library’s large meeting room at 210 First St. SW. Lenten Fish “Frydays” from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays from Feb. 16 to March 22 at Sacred Heart Church in Staples featuring all-you-can-eat fried fish, potatoes, baked beans, seafood salad, coleslaw, bread, homemade desserts and a beverage. Cost is $13 for adults and to-go meals, $7 for children ages 5 to 10 with ages 4 and under free.
