Can Indian-origin Nikki Haley beat Donald Trump in the Republican primaries?

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley is closing the gap on former US President Donald Trump in the race for the Republican nomination in New Hampshire, according to the latest polls. According to the American Research Group Inc. poll released last week, which had asked voters whom they preferred, Haley earned 29% support to Trump’s 33%.

This meant that the gap between Haley and Trump was within the survey’s 4% margin of error. The poll came a day after another survey showed Haley had doubled her support in the state since September, seemingly cementing her as a clear alternative to Trump for conservative voters, according to a report by The Guardian. (Read more)
