Ramadan 2024 expected in exactly 6 months

ALBAWABA – The Emirates Astronomy Society announced that since the Islamic lunar month of Rabi Al Awwal began on Saturday, September 16, the first day of Ramadan 2024 will most likely begin in March next year.

Chairman of the society Ibrahim al-Jarwan announced, based on astronomical predictions, that the holy month of Ramadan will begin on Monday, March 11.

Ramadan 2024 will run March 11 through April 9, 2024.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community.

Muslims believe that in A.D. 610, the angel Gabriel appeared to Prophet Muhammad and revealed to him the Quran, the Islamic holy book.  That revelation, Laylat Al Qadar is believed to have occurred during Ramadan.
