Pies’ 2024 AFL Fixture Confirmed
Collingwood’s fixture for the 2024 Toyota AFL Premiership season has been confirmed, with the first 15 Rounds of the season released by the league today.
While the remaining 10 match-ups are confirmed, the timeslots remain as a floating fixture.
With the inclusion of an ‘Opening Round’, supporters will experience a 25-round campaign this upcoming season. The reigning premiers are set to play the GWS Giants at Giants Stadium on Saturday, March 9.The following Friday night, Collingwood will unfurl the 2023 Premiership Flag in front of the Magpie Army at the MCG against the Sydney Swans.
This season, the Pies will travel on six occasions which includes the 2023 Grand Final rematch against the Brisbane Lions on Easter Thursday (Round Three) and the Gather Round match in Adelaide against Hawthorn (Round Four).
Collingwood Members and supporters based in South Australia, Western Australia, New South Wales, and Queensland will have the opportunity to watch the Pies at home with matches fixtured in these states.
Collingwood will play 14 games in front of the Victorian Magpie Army at the MCG, while three games are scheduled to be played at Marvel Stadium.
The Pies will meet Essendon for the annual ANZAC Day match on Thursday, April 25 (Round Seven), before returning to the MCG to face traditional rivals Carlton in a Friday night blockbuster in Round Eight.
In Round 13 Collingwood will host the 10th anniversary of the annual Big Freeze match against Melbourne on the King’s Birthday Public Holiday.
The Magpie Army can look forward to four Friday night games, along with three Thursday, Saturday and Sunday games. The team will have a BYE in Rounds Five and 15.
2024 sees the Pies face the Sydney Swans, Hawthorn, Brisbane, Carlton and Melbourne twice throughout the season.
The Magpie Army can look forward to celebrating 200-game milestones for Tom Mitchell and Brayden Maynard in Round Two and 14 respectively, whilst Pat Lipinski is set to play 100 games in Round Four.
Scott Pendlebury is set to celebrate his 400th AFL match in Round 18 – by doing so the 35-year-old will equal Dustin Fletcher’s record as fifth position for most games played in VFL/ AFL history.
Nine games have been confirmed to be broadcast on Channel Seven, with the remaining five to be aired on Foxtel’s Fox Footy.

“The following week we will unfurl our Premiership Flag to our 19th player, the Magpie Army, under Friday night lights at the MCG.
“The Club looks forward to playing in several marquee games including the Round Seven annual ANZAC Day match against Essendon, an important day for our nation to raise awareness and funds for the ANZAC Appeal, and in Round 13 we face Melbourne in the King’s Birthday match, supporting FightMND.
“With matches scheduled across Thursday and Friday nights, we are excited to play our brand of football in prime-time slots.

Collingwood’s 2024 AFL season will commence on Saturday, March 9 against the GWS Giants at Giants Stadium.
